  1. Black screen crash or reboot Tl;Dr system crashes to black screen or just reboots, system board q code 90. Do I just replace cpu or both cpu and mobo? Over the last few months I have had an issue that has progressively gotten worse with random reboots or black screen crashes. Most of the hardware is out of warranty by a few months. Specs: Amd 3700x Msi unify x570 motherboard 4x8GB team group CL15 3600 memory (overclocked timings) Evga 3080 Two sata ssd 1 sata hdd 2 m.2 ssd (most recent one installed a few months before this started) Evga 1000w platinum psu Thermaltake x9 case Custom water loop with dual 480mm rads only cooling the cpu (previous build also cooled gpu) Dual 200mm intake fans Case, psu, cooling, sata drives came from last build. Previous build had stability issues with TDR errors. The current build was fine for a little over 3 years (gpu a little less) then about 2 months ago I had a blue screen TDR error, then it started crashing to a black screen occasionally maybe once a week or so then after a month or so it would sometimes just reboot and not black screen in addition to still black screen, no errors in event viewer aside from unexpected reboot. The frequency slowly increased to multiple times a day. I ordered a replacement power supply, 1300w super flower, assuming that was the problem because of the lack of other errors and the power supply being from the previous build. Before I install it system is stable for 3 weeks without a single crash before happening again and not even making through post before black screening again. I replace the power supply, it works for about 3 hours then black screen, and now it won't boot to my primary windows install, it sees the drive in bios just doesn't see it as Bootable. I have a second windows install and that boots and I can access files from the primary drive but right clicking in windows explorer just crashes windows explorer. After a few hours in this windows it black screens and now will only give me video every few boots and usually black screens after a few minutes. I noticed now that the system board q code is 90 and other threads have said this is cpu/mobo. I can't decide if I should buy a 5800x3d and try it on this board and hope it's the cpu or if I should buy a 7800x3d a new board and ddr5 to just eliminate all of the possibilities. Or if there is more troubleshooting I can do.
  2. I am a small youtuber, under 30 subs, but went from 5 subs a year ago. Monetization was more in case of some video going viral, I don't care about the money or time I spend doing it and not getting paid, it is more of the principal of a fair system where everyone has a chance to get started.

  4. There is enough in IT so that you don't stay on one thing too long, but the real careers are in enterprise products, virtualization, cloud, database, hardware is only getting less complex to manage, anybody can manage a server, storage and networking with a bit of training, but that is a good starting place.
  5. 1.38 should be fine, but you can always buy hte intel overclocking warranty. if you don't feel safe.
  6. I went from a phenom II 1055t to a 4790k, I saw some games fps double on my 970
  7. It doesn't look like there is verizon support, which was the same as the one.
  8. Zen's big thing is a lot of cores, more cores has yet to help games, maybe with DX12 but buying Intel now probably will be fine for 3-5 years and then a matured Zen can happen. This is only my 3rd Intel build ever, out of maybe a dozen builds, so I was a big amd fan, they just don't have a product that can compete and the future is unknown.
  9. Zen is going to be a server focus first, so I would upgrade now, I just went from a phenom II 1055t to a 4790k and I doubled frame rates in some games
  10. check out these fans, the low end of the pwm range is really low and will be really quiet at idle. http://thermalbench.com/2015/06/29/ek-vardar-f4-120er-120mm-fan/
