  1. I think you should do: TrustMeBro Linux packed fully with tracking and merch advertising
  2. Tried Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart with the Dual Sense controller. The adaptive triggers are really nice and the rumble is quite strong as well. Also it worked pretty much out of the box without any tinkering besides pairing the controller with PC and enabling it in Steam controller settings.

I still need to reinstall my system as I've spent a whole month doing nothing but memory overclocking and stability testing so I feel like some stuff may have gotten corrupted.

Since Fedora 40 has not released yet I may just stick to Windows for a little longer. I feel like my main PC has become more of a tinkering machine now as I keep using either my laptop for normal use more often and Steam Deck for games (Playing Persona 4 Golden right now).

I do want to try out the Present Mon 2.0 and some other stuff so Windows is still as tempting on my main PC as trying out Fedora (mainly want to test the VRR on GNOME).

    The Struggle is real:

    Creative mode people vs grinders
  4. 4060ti often can't even beat 3060ti while 4070 is quite a bit better than 3070. 4060ti is really one of the worst value cards. IMO either stick with your 4060 or go all the way to 4070.

I did, it helps. But as I said this started happening quite often lately. I had this phone for over a year now and never had this issue before.

Well, RIOT doesn't give a damn.

I believe it's time to accept that cheating will always be present. At this point anti-cheats are posing the same issue as DRM where paying customers are limited to what they can run the game on. I say let people make and manage their own private servers as it used to work in the past. Make official competitive servers require these kind of restrictions to make it more fair with less chance of cheating. This way poeple will still able to play at least out of competitive setting. I know it's not perfect solution but I doubt there's a perfect solution anyways.

Well, RIOT doesn't give a damn.

Or in case of an always online game where there's just an illusion of ownership a server based anti-cheat could perhaps be a way better solution than a rootkit based one. Though consisting how people are circumventing kernel based anti-cheats it does not matter what kind of OS you run since you'll be either reading the memory directly from another device or use AI based visual HW cheats that are OS and SW agnostic.

Server based AntiCheats have their own tradeoffs and don't cover as much as something more intrusive on the host.

It's a big threat but currently It's out of reach for most people. But your not wrong, AntiCheat will never be a permanent solution and we are reaching a point where it may not even be a temporary one.
Which brings me to this. I personally don't think we are that far off from moving everything to "cloud" based gaming. It's a win for companies as you are already giving up ownership, they have more reason charge you a subscription, you won't get the files, and they wont have to deal with not trusting the host. And yes I know visual and input exploits will still exist such as AimBots and Macros, but that's a battle you can't win.

  13. Well, either a lot of patience, trial and error... Or remove the cooler first.
  14. WTF is up with Google messages draining my battery? I just sent one message and the app isn't even running anymore. My phone is constantly warm as well, this started happening recently quite often.

Hmmm weird. Must be a bug in either the App itself or in the Pixel Skin. Just keep everything up to date and hopefully they'll fix the Bug eventually. I guess if you want you can also report the Bug directly to Google.

Yeah, well. That was also a thing I considered but having better gyro matters to me more. Also I paid 7eur for the controller, laptop bag, 64GB USB drive and sunglasses so it's not that big of a deal if it breaks
  17. I've ordered the PS5 Dual Sense Wireless controller as I can't find any good alternative here.

Gulikit is unavailable and 8BitDo Ultimate looks nice but seems like Gyro only works via BT and then the triggers only work with D-input.

I've tried the Dual Sense in the past and didn't find it to be a great fit for my hands but I also didn't had it long enough to adjust.

It just seems that feature wise only my old Steam Controller comes close.

Apparently there are now games on PC that work with Adaptive Triggers so I really want to try that out. Unfortunately it also seems like most games need wired connection for it to work.

Ah if that's the case, then it's fine.

Starting to envy you now, where do you live ?, what time do you sleep ?, can you leave your front door unlocked ?

  19. While PTM7950 is great the biggest issue with most modern AMD cards is the mounting pressure of the cooler and that's why washer mod is quite popular mod on AMD cards. Simply changing the thermal compound will often not help.

  22. As per my last comment, I've misread your post. So to answer. Yes, 7900X3D is better than 7900X for gaming while sacrificing slightly the multi-core performance due to lower clockspeeds in multi-threaded workloads. If the difference is 50eur and nothing else is an option, I'd take the X3D still.
  23. I saw 7800X3D vs 7900X3D .... either I'm blind or the post was edited
  24. 7800X3D is better gaming CPU than 7900X3D as it provides way more consistent results because it does not need to have to rely on a cross CCD scheduling optimizations. Only get the 7900X3D or 7950X3D if you value multi-core performance for workloads over gaming performance.
  25. A lot of Single-Player games run on Linux well. A lot of especially Multi-Player games don't run on Linux at all because of anti-cheat. If you're mainly Single-Player and are willing to get over some hurdles then there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying gaming on Linux and some games do actually run better on Linux but that does not automatically mean that Linux gaming is better as the experience will vary from game to game. If you're mainly Multi-Player then I can't really recommend Linux for gaming at all unless you're absolutely sure the games you want to play do run on Linux. You can check something like https://www.protondb.com for that. You also need to keep in mind that just because the MP games you want to play right now, they may not run after an update like League of Legends for example when they forced their Vanguard anti-cheat and the game no longer even launches despite being able to run flawlessly for many years before. Best distros for gaming are usually rolling releases but they are also less stable. IMO something like Arch or Fedora will be best but I can't really recommend Arch based distro for newbie.
