the pro is my dad so there are No problemS with maintaining the loop for the next 3 years (my dad worked with IT and computer assembly for 3 years and has been building systems for a hobby since 2000 (he builds systems for peapol in his spare time)
swiggity swag, then you're in good hands. he'd give you the same or better advice than anyone on the forums could.
good luck, enjoy some parent-child bonding time over computers! just don't let him do all the work for you, you don't learn that way.

Thanks for the feedback
i'd go for the 780 too, just make sure your CPU can handle that thing.
-
coolbeans dude. RMA it and hope it works well for you.
-
wow, thread got really clean really fast.

i have choossen the cpu + custom look from ekwb. (bechause i have a pro to help me build it)
good OP, if you have help from a pro this will be fine.
i still would not make a custom loop for your first rig because they require regular maintence.
like i said the fx9590 is a bit unstable, but if you can tame it, it will most likely be the strongest and last CPU AMD makes, since they only want to make APUs now.
either way, i'm glad you have help.
make a build log and let us know how it goes.
-
No.
look man, the CPU is fine, we really don't need to war over this, but you can read my 2nd comment on it and see my thoughts on why this isn;t a good "my first rig" part

team whoever can give me what i need, with what i have.

9590's a good CPU, fuck you talking about.
it's a GREAT CPU but it isn't something i would advise for a first build, it's hot as hell, and slightly unstable. not good for a newbie to learn with.
plus it's hard to OC, with nearly no room to move.
strongest AM3+ socket CPU period, but with great power comes great understanding and resonsibilty, if OP undertakes with task he'll learn a lot, but also work alot too.

just start off with air. it's easy, simple and cheaper, you can always upgrade to water later.
WHOA, fx9590. okay, that single component you MUST watercool, just use a closed loop, premade kit.

I just wanted to make sure you don't put it in the sunlight and break it
he isn't going to break it.
i've done this multiple times to many many phone models.
-
Leaving your phone in the sunlight for a few hours is a terrible idea, how you decided that it was the best answer is beyond me.
Sunlight and UV rays can damage the screen and heat the LED diodes and damage your screen.
Your screen is a $150 repair.
Use the rice method.
rice is a terrible method. keeping your phone screen down in sunlight for 1-2 hrs is much faster than 8-12 hours in a bag of rice.
the screen isn't going to die unless you leave it under intense UV light at temps greater than 90F ambient.

as a AMD CPU user with multiple monitors, i'd suggest you get an intel CPU instead if you want to run 3 games at once. i can run 2 or 3, but it's not fun because i run many other processes in the back ground.
i'd also suggest some SLI or crossfire to help with that FPS.
and you're going to need a card with at least 4GB of VRAM if you want to run a game on all three at once.
-
i heard that new DX12 will increase performance for weak cpu's, and you will be able to put high end gpu with it, and you won't get any bottleneck. Okey but what about people who have i7 cpu's will they get performance increase ?
DX12 will allows for more cores to have a better, ove eaven work load. so yes, but only as much as the GPU can take. if you aren't bottle necking right now you won't be in the future.
DX12 is an all around better API and will help SLI users too, combining VRAMs. basicly everyone and their mother is getting an upgrade and proformance increases with DX12 if your card supports it.
-
video projects will load MUCH better from an SSD. other things i'd leave on an SSD
if you can't afford an SSD i'd buy multiple HDD and put them in RAID
-
dude... don't TRY to screw stuff up on purpose.
leave it in direct sunlight for a few hours, that should dry it up.

i use a dell studio 17xx with an i7 and 8GB of RAM for my programming. i usually run multiple instances of visual studios at once. with 2-3 programs testing at once
-
this is normal.
-
i don't see why it couldn't. the 960 is the weakest of the 900 line, but it's still pretty good.
if you use multiple monitors it might not be great.

Im building a new pc soon and getting a anti static strap. Can I attach that to anything metal eg Parts tray?
found my quote earlier:
I built my rig on carpet, wearing flease pajamas and one of those fuzzy blankets over my shoulders.
IDGAF static, come me bro.
-
lol, dude, don't even worry about it. seriously. let me find a quote i said earlier this week.
custom watercooling my first build?

honestly i'm kind of jelly. i've got my rig ready for water parts, but no money to get parts.
