I forgot form factor! Not tenkeyless. (There has to be a better way to say that) I like cherry switches personally. Never tried a massdrop board

Oh they have MX Greens! thanks for the input, ill do some research. I like the aluminum of the das, but these look good as well.

Hello lovely members of LTT! I have chosen to reactivate my account and return from my long hiatus of all things tech! I am in need of a new mechanical keyboard, and was looking at this keyboard from Das https://www.daskeyboard.com/daskeyboard-4-professional/ If you have other recommendations, here are my preferences: Switch: Cherry MX Blue Price: Under $200 USD Backlight: White, RGB, or none. Macros: none needed I would prefer a keyboard that doesnt come off as too “gamer”. Something simple.

Can I use my old laptop's key to activate windows on a new pc?
Stardar1 replied to CasualGamer...'s topic in Windows
I believe that Windows 8.1 associates its key with the motherboard hash. If that's the case then no, you cannot. -
Budget Gaming Build, Looking for Help
Stardar1 replied to Dtholder's topic in New Builds and Planning
The Pentium G4560 performs almost identically to that i3 for about $50 less. Other than that, looks good, though I might try to spend a little less on the case if your budget is that tight. -
How effectively could I mine Eth with 2 Rx 480s?
Stardar1 replied to Stardar1's topic in Folding@home, Boinc, and Coin Mining
So I'm better off just trading in it like stock rather than mining it. -
The 212 EVO is not compatible with that case. The Cryorig C7 performs similarly and is low profile.

Stardar1 replied to Stardar1's topic in Folding@home, Boinc, and Coin Mining
I can confirm that my electricity charge rate will not increase unless I mine with about 20 cards. but as etherium increases in value, will that offset the difficulty increase? -
Hyper 212 EVO is always a safe option, or you could get a Corsair H55 for about $50 if you want to liquid cool I'm not saying that a product is bad because it's unpopular, but saying that unpopularity is better is a rather fantastic claim.

The cards are a little pricey, but according to my math they'll pay for themselves in about 10 weeks. the other thing is that Eth has been climbing rapidly in value, and that $4 per day per card (1% of a single eth per day per card) should go up with it, right? -
The G602 is very similar to the G502, which is the mouse I now use after my deathadder broke. I have very large hands and use a palm grip, and the G502 is perfect for me, as was my deathadder. A lot of stores (Frys, Best Buy, etc) will have mice out to try, and the G502 and G602 are very common. As for headphones, I have a pair of Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrums, and, while they are expensive, I find them to be very nice. They do not have amazing sound quality (it's ok really), but they are durable and have a ton of features, and I have coverage of my entire house with it. Avoid the G930s, as they are built like crap.

so i'm looking at about $240 a month, minus energy costs (~$20 per month here)? That's pretty good, and does it scale evenly? 2 more cards would double the rate? Also, does the CPU matter or could I just throw in a Pentium G4560 and call it good? -
You might try out the G602 for the mouse. Are you also looking for wireless headphones?

This is a brief question. A friend of mine is willing to sell me his 2 XFX Rx 480 8GB cards for $300 apiece. How effectively could I mine etherium with these, and what other components should I use? Really what I'm looking for is a ballpark estimate of how much I could make with this, are we talking pennies a month? dozens? hundreds? more? Thanks, any advice helps.

What you're describing is a Logitech G900 or G800 series keyboard with blues. Problem is both of those series use Romer G, which are similar to MX Browns (Not blues as @ARikozuMsuggested) Corsair has a few options
