  1. For anyone with the same problem, ubuntu works so go try other operating systems
  2. So, I bought a new cpu for my pc, a xeon E5430. I looked around on the internet and found that it should work. I modded the mobo and it booted into windows. Then I restarted the PC and now it won't get past the windows logo. Not even when I try to boot from a usb stick that has windows 10. It works fine with another cpu (E6400). I have tried updating bios. It booted once but it said in task manager that it was running the E6400 even though the E5430 was in the pc. In CPU-Z it said that it was running the xeon but at the E6400 speeds. Then I restarted and it won't boot again.
  3. Mouse: Logitech G400s, keyboard: logitech G19s (I like the screen but i wish it was mechanical), headset: very broken plantronics gamecom 780, mousepad: steelseries qck
  4. Split screen games on this projector would be awesome. I really want this now.
  5. 4790k is overclockable but not with your Mobo.
  6. I honestly hope you are trolling or you have been living under a rock.
  7. Don't buy right now. Wait for the gtx 1080 to launch which should be faster than 2 980TIs. Also your mobo is probably overkill and the 6700k doesn't come with a stock cooler so get something for that. I made some changes: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/KYk7rH Ignore the gtx 980. Replace them with a 1080 (or 2) when it comes out.
  8. A better cpu. My old FX-6300 is bottlenecking my gtx 970 even at 4.3 ghz.
  9. So my friend's PC broke. Fans aren't spinning and lights aren't turning on. I tested the cpu and psu and checked every connector and i'm pretty sure that his mobo is dead. He was about to buy a new one but i wanted to double check if his ram would work on the new one. He has LGA 775 and ddr3. I asked for a picture of his ram to check if it would work on the new mobo. This is what happened
  10. I wouldn't get that mobo and get a gtx 980 ti. Something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WTQLVn
  11. Front IO is plugged in. I have tried the cpu in another pc and it worked. But afaik fans should still start spinning after pressing the power button even with a broken cpu.
  12. Yes it is. I tested it on another computer and it worked. I tested another psu on the same computer aswell and that didn't work
