Okay, as many of you know, the GTX 770 has two DVI outputs. I've always had two monitors (both DVI-capable) connected to this card but on one of them, I used a vga cable with an adapter because I didn't have a second DVI cable. I finally got another DVI cable but when I hooked it up, the second monitor isn't detected. The bios flash shows up on the second monitor but when it boots into windows, this monitor just can't be detected. Okay, even weirder, when I switch the cables around on the video card, now the first monitor is black and the second one springs to life but as I mentioned, my video card probably isn't broken because the computer boot sequence is showed on the second monitor and even the windows loading screen is on the second monitor. I'm just confused, any help?

How hard is it to screw up building a pc?
LessThanSatisfactory replied to HJX2's topic in General Discussion
Unless you do something really stupid, its really hard. The easiest part to screw up in is when you put in the cpu and as long as you have steady hands, its pretty easy. Just follow common sense and don't force anything. Never force anything. -

Can you re-use the code on an OEM PC if you re-install the same version of windows on it?

The screens on most laptops. They are hideous. Combining the facts that they are usually the cheapest tn panels and that your face is really close to the screen, the color shift is really annoying. Like, even from a stationary point, the top and bottom of the screen has high color shift and when you adjust the screen to see the top or bottom well, the other side becomes unreadable.

Okay, I'm probably going to win with this one but It doesn't really count anyways. A year ago, I left on a long vacation with my PC on and GTAIV in the background. It clocked 2792 hours. http://imgur.com/g7qXKVb My next highest is FarCry3 with 170 hours Edit: I didn't realize there are people who are MUCH more into their games than me.

I want to do a build that incorporates solid tubing. I originally intended to do a steam punk thing with fully solid steel tubing for houses and stuff but I've changed it to be a really modern looking black and silver build. Lots of modding and watercooling planned! Okay, this is what I have from my last build: GTX 770 Some cheap ass ASUS board, I'm sure you're not even reading this FX-8120 @ 4.something Ghz Do you even care about my specs? 16GB of patriot memory 1tb seagate barracuda 120gb SSD from somewhere, I bet you don't care. The big purdy phanteks cooler. I forgot the name. 650watt PSU And a cringe-worthy flahy plastic case Now this is what I'm planning to do: http://imgur.com/FPI01i3 Basically, its a corsair 750D with a reverse L-shaped aluminum bracket covering up the HDD cages and the lower PSU part. It will be liquid cooled by a 360mm rad on top and a 280mm double thick rad on the front. The pump and res. are hidden under the aluminum sheet so only the tubing is shown. The actual tubing will be 1/2" copper tubing that I hope to plate in nickel along with alot of other components and get them polished real good. The fittings will compressions originally intended for 1/2" OD hard acrylic tubing. The SSDs will be mounted on the aluminium panel for sexy looks and thats about it. And of course, alot of things will change along the way. The shopping list: (PC hardware only) Another full GTX 770 of sexy 2 waterblocks for said GTX 770s A CPU block A Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard (will probably change to a more stealthy mobo) 2 2tb HDDs a compact res-pump combo double-thick 280mm radiator 360mm radiator (want one thats double thick but worried about comparability) Another 120 gb SSD Corsair 750D (or any clean case with a big side window) I just want to make sure everything will fit and there will be no compatibility issues. I'm also looking for advice from other modders and people who have done solid metal tubing before. If you have any questions, ask away! If everything goes as planned, I'll follow up with a build log in a few weeks.

var num1 = prompt("What is number 1?");var num2 = prompt("What is number 2?");var num3 = num1 + num2;{ alert("The answer is " + num3);} A bit of my code goes a little like this, but instead of mathematically adding the two numbers, it shows (number1)(number2), for example, if I try to add 1 and 2, I get 12.
