  1. ya it tells you that frame there was a problem with it when it spikes but it dosent tell you why it spiked and how many of thows spikes you have. its not the hiness of the spike its the inconsistencies of them. and he saying 1 frame is not on screen or processed the same time some are faster and some longer. 3 longer frames is a big difference from 3 fast frames thats what people dont no about fps. i dont no we will see what this data gives us. could just be a red haring we were just toght that 1 fps a second.
  2. well it be nice to no that just because xgpu can do xfps dose not mean its "faster" if the micro stutters give you a worse experience. and yes there alot that can give problems not just the gpu. there problems all over like keyboard lag, monitor lag, ram problems os problems heck even different motherboards can give different out comes. then thow silacon lotty in to the mix. thow they bin them so that less off a problem these days faster cpu they just sell it for more... 40fps with low stutters is nicer then 300 fps with stutters if it plays smooth at 40 fps probably wont care how much fps its doing
  3. maybe he makes moeny on it? but ya you can play for free and with friends reminds me of good times me playing with my friends on quake 2 and using 2 lan lines and my mom and sister yelling at me to get off... as one was for 56k and other was on the phone with friend good times...
  4. so ive been looking on ebay for water cooled motherbords and well there is not much on the market...sadly but it got me thinking out of all thows pcs people have built what did you do with your old build? did you sell it, scrap it, still have it in a dusty corner? ya i no there coletors out there for this stuff but i would think there was so much of it made there sould be lots to go around? anyway share your story on what you did with it. plz show pics too i love looking at it... for me i first got in to water cooling with an x58 with i7920 and a swiftech kit was $150 can. so did my dad and it was a son and dad thing for a bit. we both had the same system thow he had dommnator gt ram and a i7960 but i had a motherboard water block. anyway it was at my dads house and his house is gone so is that motherboard block... oh well. i got his old mb and still am using it as my tv pc as he upgraded his pc. since then im been addicted to it. and love the full cover water blocks i no now there all mono blocks witch is meh. and yes i no it cost ALOT of moeny... and aios are cheap that probably why most dont water cool anymore. another problem is alot stuff comes from the us and alot of people dont want to ship to Canada but still think there should be alot more of this stuff
  5. biocide is needed. even if you do everything by the book things can happen. with this block i did use a premix and distleled water but do to problems with the loop and didn't want to thow out the new mix we reused it... bad idea... on the other hand cpus blocks makes good filters...
  6. this is a good video that shows the improvements and bottle necks of cpus so you can use a hi end gpu on a slower cpu as long as that cpu dose its task and you get the amount you want.
  7. so im just watching this video now i no im late... but im kinda geting it. even if you have say 300+ fps in cs each frame can be good or bad. and when its bad there a spike and that make a micro studder. and that is what you feel makes the game feel bad even thow your getting 300+ fps.. means nothing. consistent timing is better then fast timings but we know that all ready... anyway skip to say 11:00 the meat and potatos imo. yes with the 1% lows and .1% lows what he's saying is we need to calculate how many errors were in that test and get a % from that. errors per second
  8. cpuz shows half of the ramspeed for w/e reason. and if you buy say 3200mhz ram dose not mean it runs stock a thows settings just might oc to that number. also ram has 2 names like ddr3 is also called pc3 why i dont no... then there also rank witch is how many chips and is it on both sides. then there descktop ram and server ram and was amd ram too...
  9. its hp then ea then windys... i liked windys vlaue menu... oh well...
  10. small case cost alot like itx builds so probly an matx would be the best.
  11. i think there alot of stuff you probly dont no thats bad for you. and its been like the for ever saying things like fire resistant and so on... i watch alot of youtube videos on storys of people diying or things collapsing and alot of them is preventable some even knew of problems but paid off the safty people basically corruption. and most get away with it. no jail no fines or low fines. what most of them do is to make there finding in to a law to try and prevent it from happing agane... anyway point being you are being lyied too about alot of things...
  12. imo the best test case is the Thermaltake CTE C750 becuse it can have 140mm fans everywhere... thow the build quolaty is crap thow the sides have no screws to hold them on.
  13. well update the evga titan x works... so now its down to finding the ram screw threads and more ram. and finding out what res im using and mout it. might do case mods might not i need a logitech g 115 keyboard or something... i had one but dont rember were it went? my dad had one too oh well.
  14. oh looks like its on steam now... (looking at the cd copy i got...)
  15. ASUS P5GDC PRO has like 4x ddr and 2x ddr2 800fsb South bridge: Intel ® ICH6R North bridge: Intel ® 915P Memory Controller Hub (MCH) with pcie and pci nothing really stands out. also no 98 drivers... P5G41-M LE Core 2 Extreme / Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Duo fsb1333 Intel G41 Intel ICH7 ddr2 1066 pcie pci could be good and worth something looks like windows xp driver thow so no 98 driver and you can build a faster xp pc thow so... not saying 98 wont install thow... need to see the back side of the gpus thow looking at the fan it ether new or has been cleaned because it spotless...
  16. is this a fan made? cause we no how thows go... like the 3d crono trigger... shutdown im guessing "hl3" was also shutdown...too...
  17. i dont no tax for a business side but its the same rant about tax. x about of tax off the moeny you make. then when you buy something you pay more tax. ya your not obligated to buy something but i mean come on... so in the end your paying probably like 50% in tax... but just a guess.
  18. you cant buy rl2 anywhere... other then a cd or pirit it
  19. a cpu block has finns in it and water flows across the fins more fins more serface area to pull heat but its also a balance of flow and cost thats why you dont see duble sided fined cpu blocks... anyway pulls the heat off the fins in to the water witch heats the water. then down the line to a radiator witch then thinns out the water and pushed thow flat tubes in the radiator then the air from fans blows air across the fins adding the heat to the air. then the air gets moved upwards and cooled air downwards crating a mix. then depending on what your house dose to that air i dont no. anyway you can get rid of heat by evaporation at a cost of water and turns it in to a gas and condense elsewhere kina what ac is. there are other ways of cooling the water or air but the heat has to go some ware. people have made auto sub cooling but they cant go as low and someone did build a closed loop that keept it at like 0c or soothing... j2c has gotten one of his systems to like ambient temp like 16c using ac,submerged rads, as well as and ac room... but at what cost... the pro subzeros go to like -160ish and with stuff not ocing that well get like 14% improment... not worth it other then the "fun" of doing it because i can. how well the say cpu/gpu cooling dose is based on how much they want to sell it. what they normally do is make the best cooling they can then they keep refining it to get it to the cost they want. all cpu and gpu heat sinks are not the best they could do only the best for the cost... the manufacturers make you think it cost x$ to make like a fan for example cost like $1 to make any fan but some fans sell like $50+ its marketing.
  20. well you said you were going to diy assuming you no how to solder? if not there are solder less ways too. this would be the pinout red 5v power green data amd white ground
  21. jst-sm connector is common on argb strips but you can buy pack of connectors and make your own or just cut the connector off and use something els. you till need the 3 pin for the motherboard thow
  22. msiafterburner is a software ware you can make a custom gpu fan curve not a case...
  23. thing to note is older case tend to be less wide and with a drive bay in the way might have problems with a gpu but depends on what gpu i guess. but air flow should be good.
