RAM won't make nearly as much difference as a graphics card.
If you want better gaming performance, buy a graphics card.

Don't waste your money on that. If you really want to have a noticable upgrade, move to an Intel i5 or i7.

If you look at this picture, you can see that there is a 120MM fan mount (the unfiltered holes, with four screws around it) and to the left of that fan mount there are two screws that release the front most drive cage.

That's the problem. The hardware cannot remember it's LED setting if it isn't powered.
It's not bad for your system, but it will cause the LED's to reset every time you plug it back in.
If you dont want to have to change the LED setting, just dont unplug the system. I know I'm being a bit blunt, but it's really the only option!

Those temps are fine, and its good that the hot air is being exhausted, not circulated around in the case.
