  1. When buying an SSD, go for the cheapest from a good manufacturer, unless you're in to the looks kind of thing.
  2. Not all prices convert equally (for example in my country, a 970 STRIX costs 399,67€ which is $437,15 and on Amazon, its $350). But yes, a 980 Ti is also my recommendation.
  3. Just choose the cheapest from one of the good manufacturers (antec, corsair, cooler master, evga, silverstone...), that has everything you want (modularity or a specific efficiency rang).
  4. A badass router for my parents. They're still using the ISP crap. The world of routers is not really my world, but I heard the Google On Hub is "pretty nice". http://www.amazon.com/OnHub-Wireless-Router-Google-TP-LINK/dp/B0154URN3M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449163096&sr=8-2&keywords=google+onhub+router
  5. You need to attach your image to the guys face on a video editing software. Or set it up so that it will move identically. It's not easy and you're gonna need some time if someone gives you the exact steps and everything works. If not, then who knows how long it will take you to do it.
  6. So seeing the Linus' video on the 8 cores for $150 made me think a little. I have been thinking about getting a home server for a while now. So, in theory, I could get a similar setup to the one in the video and then get some HDDs and put it in some case and it's a server? Can you even use HDDs for hosting game servers? If not then what and how much of it?
  7. You should only be getting an I-7 with that kind of budget if you are primarily video editing and gaming on the side. While Skylake is the newest and the most future proof, Z97 is still okay to go with. I recommend you check the Skylake prices, but the motherboards and DDR4 are more expensive than going with Z97. It looks like your budget is somewhere between $600 and $1000, so I recommend you go with an I-5 4460 or something, unless you need more CPU power for some particular thing, and then try to squeeze in a 970. You should also get a 120 gig $60 SSD for your boot drive.
  8. If you ask me, you should squeze for a GTX 960 or at least a 950. But that's just me. Also don't get Windows 10.
  9. You have to find out how much it means to you and then decide. You're most likely not doing it just for exercise.
  10. The longer you wait the less worth it is. Trust me I tried.
  11. Neither do I. I have wired headphones, mouse and keyboard anyway. So if a game detects an XBOX controller, I can remap the buttons so that I am using a PS control scheme?
  12. Neither do I. I have wired headphones, mouse and keyboard anyway.
  13. But the controls will be Xbox, so there's no point except for ergonomics and the touchpad. And the best thing about the DS / PS for me is the trigger control scheme (trigger at the top, aim at the bottom)
  14. What... I call bullshit. I guess now DS4 and Nvidia Shield are back on the table.
  15. iPhone 6 aluminum was so premium...
  16. Force me into Win 10? Wait what??! Are you serious? So I'll just need to update? I'm on 7 BTW. As for the price it's not that much more expensive, only around $10, and it comes around the same if you buy a custom skin.
  17. It's kinda like Apple. Expensive, yet no different than other manufacturers, just made fancy.
  18. XBOX controllers have the best support right. So does the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 controllers have the same support? Doesn't matter that much, coz the layout is the same and you can just use an emulator on old games if you have an Xbox One controller, right? Dualshock 4 is IMO a better and nicer controller in every way, but it doesn't have nearly as much support as the XBOX and it's not supported on GTA V, which is the main reason why I am buying a controller in the first place. And there is no point in buying a DS4 to then use the XBOX scheme (I prefer the PS trigger scheme). So in conclusion, the XBOX ONE seems like the best options in my eyes. What do you think? So will any Xbox One controller work on PC wired, no matter where I buy it?
  19. Gr8 idea m8! Gr8 idea... There's a pretty good chance they're gonna ban you, but not necessarily permanently. You might just get a warning, depends really. Try reading the rules/agreement/whatevercrapthathasthistopicinit.
  20. Sure, just don't buy drives, PSUs or overclocked chips.
  21. You don't need to replace it now, and unless you have tons lying around, you will be wasting thermal compound (assuming it was applied correctly in the first place and you have no issues with it.) But if you're using a stock cooler with stock thermal compound, then I guess you could replace it. If you have the thermal compound. Don't go buy it.
  22. Similar happens at my school. Some people can connect, but some just time out connecting. On my older phone it worked at first and then it didn't, but when I got my LG it started working fine again. Doesn't work for my friend tho. I guess you could hack in to the network and do something there, but it's pointless, really.
  23. So the touch pad will work even if I need to emulate an XBOX controller? Will the commands be XBOX or PS, if I need to run an InputMapper/DS4Windows?
