  1. Hey everyone, I'm building a computer for a friend and am running into a weird issue with the ethernet port. When I first built the system I booted it up for the first time and updated the bios and made sure that everything was enabled, including the ethernet. I then installed windows and noticed in the install that the ethernet cable I had plugged in wasn't being detected but I didn't think anything of it as I figured that it was just because there weren't any drivers installed. The system loaded into windows and I went and got the drivers from asus and installed them but the ethernet still wasn't working. At this point I plugged in a wifi adapter so windows update could do its thing to possibly solve the issue, still nothing. So I then went to realteks website to get the latest driver from there and still no luck. At this point I have checked the device manager multiple times with the ethernet consistantly showing up as "realtek pcie gbe family controller" and windows says that its working properly with the latest drivers. I've tried to reinstall windows with that not making a difference and rebooting the system and fully unplugging the power and even resetting the cmos and defaults on the motherboard. What should be the next step at this point? I've tried different cables and ports on my router with all of them working on my own system but not the new one. Should I try to rollback the bios to an earlier version or is there something else I should try? The motherboard is an ASUS TUF B450-PLUS GAMING and this is the pcpartpicker for the rest of the parts. Thanks for any help.
  2. So I just got a text from my friend that he wants to get a computer and has around $350 dollars to spend and he already has his peripherals. He wants to be able to play cs:go and some other games at a reasonable FPS (greater than 30). I would imagine that he also doesn't really want to upgrade in the near future either. I was able to put this together and need your opinion on whether there is anything that should be changed. 3. Ok, so my current ssd solution is 2 60gb ocz ssds in raid 0 that are quite old and are starting to die so I need to upgrade. I have been searching around and I found a deal on newegg here that I was thinking about getting but I need your suggestions and was wondering if a different solution would be better. I'm also not that familiar with kingston ssds on their reliability and speed so if you guys want to recomend other brands that's fine. If I were to get the drives from newegg then they would go into another raid configuration and yes I know that it is not the most reliable solution but I have been running my current one for 2 years now without issue until recently. My budget is somewhere around $150 max with some room to work and I'm hoping for somewhere between 240 and 480 gigs and either amazon or newegg is fine for purchasing from the U.S. If you want to see my current setup it is in my bio.
  4. do this https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/200548193-Why-won-t-GTA-IV-work-on-Windows-8-1 and if you have problems with getting your graphics settings working then do this https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145206-Issues-with-GTA-IV-showing-video-cards-with-over-2GB-as-under-spec I literally just had to do this for myself after reinstalling the game.
  5. Here not sure if you've seen this yet but when the same thing happened to me I had just followed the steps given and ever since my keyboard has been stick free. If it doesn't help well I don't know what to say other than good luck.
  6. Congrats on 1 million subs Linus if anyone deserves it's you and the rest of the team. One thing that I do miss a bit and probably a lot of other people as well is the good ol' style of unboxing. Wouldn't mind the occasional one every week or two.
  7. Favorite part of the phone has to be the SD slot, you can never have enough storage. As for dbrands being able to customize your phone very easily is nice.
  8. My favorite thing has to be the aluminium wrist rest. To me plastic ones just feel way too cheap, but that's my opinion.
  9. I have to say that 3gb of ram is nice. Don't have to worry about the phone lagging when you have more than 3 or 4 tabs open like on my iPhone 4.
  10. Trust me you're not missing out on much, it still crashes all the time on me and is buggy as ever.
  11. If you want I could join but at the moment my mic isn't working. My origin name is the same as my LTT name.
