    Shadowplay help

You need to choose what audio you record in the settings. EDIT: It uses the default audio device too btw
  3. well the meaning was slightly altered, swapping the word next for best.
  4. the translation is wrong, it's "AMD's next graphics card in the top class", not best.
  5. Well you need source audio in to the equalizer, and then from equalizer to audio in on amp. RCA to 6,3mm jack (or 3,5mm with a 6,3mm adapter) in to the equalizer, and the same out. You could also use the XLR connectors with adapters to either 3,5mm, RCA or 6,3mm. the RCA to 6,3mm would probably be the cheaper option, and it most likely will sound exactly the same.
  6. To further clarify, the equalizer is a middle-man. You send audio to it, then it does the "equalization", then sends the audio out again, "equalized". The weird plugs you see are XLR ports, and the other ones are 6,3 mm ones. XLR is mostly used in more professional environments, while the 6,3 is a normal consumer thing, just the big brother to 3,5mm.
  7. I'm pretty sure that if you use HDMI you can't use the RCA out at the same time. (on the bluray) So then you wouldn't be able to go through the equalizer, which I assume you could use with an RCA to 3,5mm with a 6,3mm adapter (or maybe an RCA to 6,3mm cable but I haven't seen those)
  8. Depends on the plugs on the back of them
  9. well it's serious shit man, even though it might be sarcastic it's still a death threat.
  10. so what you're saying is that by using MP3 files my 2TB harddrive will become a 4 TB harddrive?
  11. You can't really go wrong with an SM57 for guitar cab miking. works wonderfully for snare drums too, and even vocals. I've heard about people using bass drum mics for bass cabs, such as a Shure Beta 52, Audix D6 or AKG D112
  12. what do you mean end up in a soundcard? do you mean from whatever media player OP is using, through onboard, internal soundcard or external soundcard? and analog from that and into the receiver? cus the simplest way is just straight optical from onboard and into the receiver. the other ways are of course HDMI, and analog jacks, but with both optical and analog jacks you can use many solutions, but onboard (unless it's broken or really old) is the easiest solution and you probably won't hear a difference because it's amplified by the receiver and not an onboard amp or a soundcard amp.
  13. this. I just wish I had some real Comply tips for my Soundmagic PL50's.. and that it wasn't so cold outside, but now I have a car again so I don't need to really BE outside.
  14. Weird, I have the complete opposite experience.. and especially when I put on Shure SRH840 pads on the 440's. and then even better when I got a Sennheiser HD600 headband cushion and used zipties to secure it on.

    ;( Audio card

Spotify Premium supports WHAT? I've never seen anything more than 320 kbps, 16bit 44100 Khz .ogg files used in Spotify? and I have Premium, with the maximum quality option enabled.

    source audio

I use MP3 320 kbps if I can get it. I'm having trouble rebuilding some of my music collection after my harddrives died, especially a band called F.K.Ü. :c
  18. Yes SPDIF is digital, but the digital signal can be converted by a DAC to an analog signal which then can be amplified by an amplifier. What do you meeean "analog from the get go"? the PC makes a digital signal, which then is processed by a DAC into an analog signal. a soundcard does that too, because (as you said) it contains a DAC (and an ADC too for the mic and line in), which can process digital signals. Sure, a soundcard can use the ADC, and then send it back out via the DAC and amp, but that wouldn't really do anything unless you want it to be amplified, but he has his Yamaha receiver for that anyway. also OP's amp / receiver has a DAC and amp, if not there would not be a reason for it to have optical or HDMI in.
  19. They're all very good, you should look up reviews and tests on Youtube to figure out which sound you like the most, as no microphone sounds exactly the same, even same make and model microphones have slight differences (very small). I'd go for the one that has the least annoying light on it. I know my Blue Snowball has a pretty annoying red light right on top. EDIT: also Rode have a very good reputation in the mic business.
  20. yes they are a little pricy, but IMO they're totally worth it. and if you can find a Sennheiser HD518 + mic of some sort (Zalman clip-on, Blue snowball, snowflake, Audio-Technica ATR2500, Samson C01U, Samson Meteor, which ever fits your budget), it will be better, cus then you can have good headphones + a good mic, and you can choose to upgrade either the mic or the headphones later on, without having to get an entirely new headset, as you would have to with a regular headset.
  21. "gaming headset" doesn't mean anything, it's just a marketing gimmick. 99% of gaming headsets are overpriced, shitty sound and shitty built shit. I said shit a lot, but I'm trying to prove a point. the only headsets worth buying are Steelseries Siberia v2 (tight budget), HyperX Cloud, QPad QH 85 and 90, Sennheisers and Audio-Technica's. seriously. 7.1 in headphones are a gimmick too, I've tried ASUS' surround, Razer surround, Logitech Surround and the Corsair surround, they're all shit compared to in-game headphone option. I'm 100% serious, they all make the sound muddy and disorientating. I have gone through many a headset, and I've tried several headphones, the best of all I've tried for gaming is the Sennheiser PC360, basically a Sennheiser HD518 with a mic attached to it. get that if you can, 10000000000000000000000x better than "gaming" gear.
  22. nope- driver specs and looks are identical to Takstar Pro 80 and 2050, I'm 100% sure they are rebranded with a mic attached. no beyerdynamic involved.
  23. I definitely wouldn't mind a NUC! They're super handy for just browsing, perfect for mom!
  24. well unless I am very wrong it's in just an hour now
