  1. From the same company that brought you the server that doubles as a hot water system, now we have this gem of a machine: Honestly, with all the jokes flying around, I'm actually more surprised that something like this didn't come out sooner.
  2. Before people start going off about piracy and such, it is still a long way off from kernel access which is the main hurdle that needs to be met. Still, shipping with a browser that is vulnerable to old exploits isn't helpful in dispelling the somewhat rushed feel of the Switch that the online community is harping on about, just potentially adding more to the fire with the existing Joy-Con connectivity issues, the easily stuck wrist straps, screen scratches from the dock etc. Sources: http://wololo.net/2017/03/11/nintendo-switch-already-hacked-known-vulnerability/
  3. It would be sad to see Toshiba go - I do have a soft spot for them being the makers of first laptop I had. If they do go under, other brands under the Toshiba corporate umbrella like OCZ might go down with them too. 4. From the article and pictures we have for specs: 21:9 IPS G-Sync panel, 2560 x 1080 resolution, refresh rate unknown? 7th Gen "Kaby Lake" Intel Core processors Dual GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI Cherry MX mechanical keyboard Tobii infrared eye-tracking 2 x USB Type-A, 1 x USB Type-C, 2 x DP, 1 x HDMI GbE, Wi-Fi ac Damn son, the price tag is gonna be eye watering. On looks, this is definitely overdone for my taste. Those specs doe... 5. SM-N930F Exynos Note 7 owner here, hasn't missed a beat as of yet. Time will tell though.
  6. I've checked it out - the header that the pump was connected to returned as N/A - not picked up by the motherboard at all. Tried different headers, still got nothing. I could hear the pump slowing down after turning off the machine. After I took out the cooler I did notice that the block and lower half of the tubing were warm, but the radiator and upper tubing were stone cold. I'm thinking a warranty claim might be needed here - documents say it should be good for five years.
  7. So just this morning my computer (Specs are in my signature and BIOS ver. is 2501) out of the blue went apeshit with the CPU fans and ramped them up to max before blacking out on me. After a bit of fiddling it booted me back into the BIOS where it turned out the the 4790K was idling at around 90C. I removed the Nepton, cleaned up the paste, reseated the CPU and put it all back together with new MX-4 paste. No luck, 90C idle. I then changed it out for the stock Intel cooler and now it's been sitting comfortably in the mid 30s for a while now (it's still running as I type this). While I'm pretty sure the AIO is junk now, I just wanted to confirm - there's no saving it and I should just swap it out for a beefy air cooler?
  8. Source: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/51351/purported-geforce-gtx-1080-cooler-shroud-pictures-leaked/index.html With Nvidia's Pascal architecture on the horizon, we've gotten leaks of images that could show off the new cooler that will be at least paired with the higher end GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 models. Personally, I do like the look of the design, particularly if it's a matte finish, but with the recent admission of the faked Wii U controller that was 3D printed, the actual product does look to me like it has that sort of printed feel to it. It shouldn't take long to see if it's real or not though, with Nvidia's GPU Technology Conference in about a week's time.
  9. That MG279Q is a Freesync monitor which give you adaptive refresh rate capabilities if you're using an AMD card. NVIDIA's equivalent is G-Sync, and it works with NVIDIA cards. If you want a monitor about equivalent to your OP choice to pair with your card, here's one: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=31600&cPath=1088
  10. Why the Freesync monitor if you're going for an NVIDIA card, btw? Seems like a bit of waste to not take advantage of it.
  11. DBAN (Darik's Boot and Nuke) is a free option that still works a treat: http://www.dban.org/ Might take a while if your hard drive is big (though I think that's true of any HDD wiping software)
  12. German coverage of Mafia 3 Gameplay - starts at 1:09
  13. http://www.engadget.com/2015/07/30/amazon-top-gear/ Don't know if Prime is a requirement, but I'm excited to see what they come up with regardless.
  14. I'm afraid I must burst the hype bubble for quite a few of you. Gibbo of OcUK reports this monitor being 2560x1080 only: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=27919452&postcount=143 There always seems to be that one point which spoils the rest of it.
