    All games, not most games.
In Crimson, click the 'gaming' tab, then 'global' then set frame target to 75. There's no game it won't work with.

The 8GB on the GPU will be very useful at that ultrawide resolution if you plan to use a lot of mods and want to turn all of the eyecandy on and sapphire is a great GPU manufacturer.
If you're not doing anything else besides gaming then the i5 is just fine, but if you want to stream or edit videos, then I would suggest to go to with an i7.
If you have the extra money I would suggest to get a 16GB ram kit in a 2x8 configuration if you don't want to upgrade any time soon and if you so choose, you can do so without having to remove the rma that you have.
Corsair is an excellent brand for the case.
I recommend going with a higher wattage PSU to avoid any unnecessary stress on it, as higher PSUs won't consume more power from the wall as it all comes down to effeciency, I would recommend at least 600W in case you need more room for further upgrades.

This one is tricky, and if you believe you will need a multi-GPU setup in the future, I would suggest to get a SLI-ready motherboard in case you go with an Nvidia GPU in a distant future upgrade and then plan to add another down the line, and even if that's the case, you will need to select an even higher wattage PSU.

I might spend the little bit extra and get i5 4690k, just if you ever wanted to overclock since that is where a lot of bang for your buck comes from. You may want an after market cooler if you do that, but you can always just run the CPU at standard speed and then when you have the cash buy a cooler. Otherwise you will be stuck with a non overclockable CPU. That isn't a massive issue and by no means is it a 'must' but it is just something to keep in mind

It is pretty common that mobos support crossfire and not SLI, so you should be okay - but it would make sense to get one that supports it just in case you do go for another card in the future.

In the specs page on asrock's website you will see the information. If it says that supports 8 USB 3.0 ports (4 in the front and 4 in the rear) it means that the motherboard has 2 headers for front panel connectors. Each USB header can support up to 2 USB connectors. This includes USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1. And in corsair's specs page you will see how many USB headers the case has.

You shouldn't have any problems. The most recent ones should detect your new GPU and install it using your current drivers with no problems.

So, this year, we decided to put together a fun little giveaway for all of the techies in our audience... the chance to give mom, or grandma, or WHOEVER in your life that isn't a techie a tech-focused gift for the holiday!

    The rules are simple:

    - Comment below telling us what gift (value of US$300 or less before tax and shipping on Amazon) you would want to give to your non-techie counterpart and link to that gift on Amazon
    - In your comment, tell us WHO you have chosen to potentially receive that gift (mom, grandma, neighbor, etc.)
    - Also tell us WHY you're getting it for them (eg. a new smartphone because grandpa still has a flip phone)

Make sure your gift is US$300 or less on Amazon.com. If a selected winner has linked to an item with a value greater than US$300 they will be re-drawn!

Winners will have 24 hours to respond here on the forum. If we do not receive a response in 24 hours, we will not hesitate to re-draw.

The three (3) winners will be selected on December 14. Once winners have been selected, they will be contacted by me here on the forum, and will provide the full shipping info for the recipient of their gift. Once we receive that information, we will order the winner's selected gift from the recipient's local Amazon and schedule for delivery by December 25.

There are no age or geographical restrictions to enter this giveaway.

Good luck to all, and happy holidays!

    EDIT: Winners have been selected!

@VictorC777 who selected a Canary All-In-One Home Security Device for their Mother
@Kibelok who selected a Ninja Ultima or the Instant Pot for their mom
And @KirbyTech who selected a point and shoot camera for their dad

Thanks again for entering, and happy holidays to everyone here

Darkcrow022 got a reaction from DedricWashington in Are my parts compatible?
The CPU is not compatible with the motherboard as they use a different socket. The mobo uses socket 1151 and the CPU requires socket 1150. The GPU will only fit inside that case if you remove the HDD cage, as the GPU's lenght is 309mm and the case only has 294mm with the cage, or up to 428mm without it. The power supply is a great choice. The ram and the mobo are compatible and everything will fit inside the case you chose if you remove the HDD cage. If you plan on adding more HDD's later, I would suggest another GPU that's not as massive as the one you chose. You could save a little more money by switching the mobo and ram as DDR4 is still fairly new and so is the Z170 chipset. I suggest a 1600 MHz and higher DDR3 with a Z97 chipset or at least an H81.

Darkcrow022 reacted to Maki Role in AETOS by Maki Role - Finished!- Update 29/07/16
    Hello again!

This project is going to be run parallel to Argentum, it's a tiny ITX, air cooled build that aims to make the most of what the form factor can offer.

So a while back AMD approached me and asked if I'd like to do a build for them as part of the launch for their upcoming R9 Nano card.  Given how Argentum is shaping up to be a beastly, giant of a rig, I couldn't help but feel drawn to the idea of building something at the opposite end of the spectrum at the same time.  The brief was simple, make it small and make it powerful.  I'd like to offer a big thank you to AMD who are fully financing this project along with allowing the opportunity to begin with!

    Specs:

So in lieu of the brief, I chose the following components:

    CPU: Intel i7 6700k
    Motherboard: EVGA Z170 Stinger
RAM: 16GB Kingston Fury Black 2400MHz
    Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i
    Storage: 2TB Samsung 850 Evo
    GPU: AMD R9 Nano
    PSU: Silverstone 450W Strider Gold

Now some of you may be thinking "why no M.2" or "How come not that X99 Asrock board".  Well those would be sensible points to make.  A HyperX 480GB Predator drive is on the way, but I made a mistake.  It turns out the Stinger has a near useless Key E M.2 port, which means no Predator unfortunately.  So that's being shelved for the next build (spoilers...) instead.  As for X99, well for a start I think that board is hideous, but even if it looked good I'd have an issue.  Something doesn't quite seem right about using a CPU with near as dammit the same TDP as the dedicated GPU.  One of the key points about the Nano is its low power usage, which would be completely nullified by some mahoosive 150W+ CPU.  There's also the matter of cooling the things.  X99 CPUs need hefty cooling, meaning I'd need a bigger cooler, which would have cut my options down significantly.

    Renders:

And as usual, here's a batch of renders of what the build should look like.  These are sans components as they haven't arrived yet.  The files are being sent off to the printers and Parvum Systems on Monday, fingers crossed we can get things done during the week on that end.

Also, please mention in your comment what you would do with the processor if you were to win this giveaway! (This will not affect who wins in any way - winners are chosen at random, this is just a way to add a bit of cool community interaction to the contest) Are you a budding streamer or video editor who will use the extra cores for multi-tasking? Would this chip act as the missing piece for a set of workstation components that you've been eyeing?
