in-progress [Build Log] Project Nalu 1.2 (2004 Retro Build)
EldarNi replied to Modzy's topic in Build Logs
I've got all of water cooling gear for my Retro'04 from that time too. but been lazy to put it together. Need a new case with a radiator support. Would be interesting to see your gaming scores against mine) -
I often use this chart for older GPUs http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

This thing is beautiful -
So yeah imaging buying a proper EK stuff, where is gpu waterblocks starts from 85 for simple and 115 full cover, cpu 50 and more, a pump with high flow top 70 and it is only a beginning. So spending a 1k, if it's a dual gpu system isn't a joke. So people be aware before diving into water cooling

May be the freesync was off? Mine is working between 40 and 75Hz, so the monitor adjust it's refresh rate from mine 40 to 75 fps and I make sure that I stay above 40 fps all the time and the gameplay is buttery smooth. Yours range must be from 30 or 40 and up to 144Hz and you shouldn't experience any choppiness.
-
I don't get you problem, it's not the fact, that you'll hit 144hz with 980ti, but you'll lose freesync and smooth gameplay. I sold mine 120hz monitor and got 75hz with freesync and it is so much better for game experience. I just dial down the settings to stay within the freesync range and I'm so happy. I even put vsync on in some of my games just to not go above 75hz.

I want to get a new graphics card with my Athlon 880k
EldarNi replied to himynameistree's topic in Graphics Cards
the more powerful GPU you can get is better, don't think about bottlenecking, 750ti and 950 will limit your in-game settings to low and medium for smoother game play, 970 will let you use high and ultra -
your monitor is alright for gaming if you've got no other options
-
most likely

or this one http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-23MP68VQ-P 75Hz and freesync

That sucks, I bought both AMD and P4 mobo's and cpu's for my retro build, luckily only P4 had working sata connectors. Still you could download cracked games and enjoy them. -
g3258 or g4400? (for gaming)
EldarNi replied to Blackhole890's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
2 vs 4 cores just do some little research and you can find anything -
Well finally I could remove my pc table and put a sofa instead
-
Hey, any updates?
-
Most likely that this is the last update. Last year I painted mosfet heatsinks on mobo. It was pretty easy. And now I decided to sell this pc. As it's too big =) But it served me well. Thanks for following.
