Water cooling my arc midi r2

Artem

Hey guys,

I don't really have to time to do a full build log, but a few members asked me to do a build log, so here's my best attempt. Keep in mind I just snapped a few iphone pictures here and there since I don't have a decent camera. My brother did take a few pictures of my build previously with his camera, so the before pictures are decent.

If only the arc was a little taller, id be able to get two of these rads in here:(

The copper that the vinegar removed from the rad liked the nickel plating on the aqua pipe

If anyone tried fitting a 360 in the midi r2, they know it't quite a task, since the other holes are counter-sunk and the ones I drilled weren't, I had to sink them myself with a screw and a block of wood:)

All done, time to wait for the bubbles to come out.

That is a lot of rad space for a cpu. Are you going to add the gpu's in?

Yes sir, couldn't afford to buy everything at once, would of cost me like $1200. I'm gonna wait for the next gen flagship cards from invidia, then get water blocks for them and add a 240 ut60 up front to help.

Nice work but.

To cool the cpu just cost you nearly $700.

Was it worth it? Are the temperatures that much lower? How much extra performance has that $700 got you.

Nothing to see here - move along.

It was nearly $700 to buy all the essentials to start a nice loop. adding another 240 rad in the front and two gpu blocks is going to cost me just $350 more. So the full loop should cost me around $1000. It was worth it for me because now my system is completely silent with better temps. It's not always about performance, some people want a quiet system. I mostly did it for fun as it interested me.

*Moment when I actually prefer how it looked before with the NH-D14.
