Oil cooling - What kind?

So i've been planning to build my own oil cooled machine. But after planning everything out, i need to find mineral oil to fill it with. After looking around, it's quite hard to find.

But i found this in Ikea:http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/00046786/

It's mineral oil used for wood, but will it do for this build? + Does the price seem ok?

I don't think all oil is the same and this seems like it would be too thin. I would get some made for it or look in a grocery store. Like I said all oil could be the same but it seems different

So i've been planning to build my own oil cooled machine. But after planning everything out, i need to find mineral oil to fill it with. After looking around, it's quite hard to find.

But i found this in Ikea:http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/00046786/

It's mineral oil used for wood, but will it do for this build? + Does the price seem ok?

 

It depends what they put into that oil, if it's just straight mineral oil it's ok to use but if your wanting a place to source mineral oil STE oil is where Linus also got his for the mineral oil build:

I don't think this is quite as inert as the stuff meant for cooling, as this is meant to harden when used. I could be wrong though.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
