Living with Moto X Pure Edition's Camera (since launch)

Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of the Moto X series of phones. I have used the Xs as my daily drivers since the original 2013 model. Aside from the horrible cameras of the last few generations, I haven't really had any game breaking complaints.

Now that all of that is out of the way, I feel that it's fair to talk about the new model. It has a great amount of horsepower and a pure OS under the hood which makes the Android experience a damn smooth one. For day to day activities like Reddit, YouTube, Chrome browsing and texting, this phone is a great one.

But damn does this camera suck. the Moto X series has never had a good camera, and this phone is no exception. Don't get me wrong, it can take some nice photos, but in most scenarios the photos will show up blurry and shaky. On top of the garbage camera, there is the garbage camera app that Motorola insists on keeping 'Shutter button' free.

If you are looking for a phone with a nice shooter, or even a decent one; keep moving along. Do not waste your time and money on this poor camera.

How do Reavers clean their spears?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

How about battery life?

Most reviews I've read have pointed out to middle-of-the-road at best battery life.

It's only rated by GSMArena to have ~50% better battery life than the Nexus 5...which was abysmal.
