Looking to dye/paint my laptop lid.

KemoKa

I'm planning on putting a couple of nice stripes on my laptop to make it look cooler but in not as gaudy a way as others. The lid is made of (from what I can tell) anodized aluminum. I'm looking for a kind of paint that will be able to make sort of a dyeing effect rather than a paint-over, in such a way that the texture or feel of the metal is not really changed at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Yes, I know this will probably void my warranty.

Yes, I am going to protect the laptop's interior as best as I can

and Yes, I am going to test this on a piece of scrap metal before I just go spraying away at my laptop.

Any suggestions for what I could use?

Personally I'd suggest to either get some vinyl wrap to create the design while still being removable, but if you want something that sort of dyes or paints on the metal, a paint marker can give you a similar result and not come off very easily.
