Power Supply to Palit GTX 980Ti Jetstream

Hi everyone , I've recently gotten myself an upgrade from gtx 970 to gtx 980ti and im wondering how to connect the gpu to the psu , the graphics card requires a 6+2 and a 6 pin connector , should i run 2 pcie cables from the psu into the card or will a single cable suffice?

A single cable will be plenty. You only need two separate cables with really power-hungry cards like the 295X2.
