Razer Deathadder+Linux

I am looking into buying the razer deathadder 3500 DPI version. It has come to my understanding that Razer doesn't have linux support, and I use ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I would like to be able to change the dpi and configure my razer mouse, as it is going to be my first ever gaming mouse. Will the mouse even work? If so, how can I install third party software to allow me to change my DPI and other mouse settings. Thanks!
