LAN Drivers not allowing install (Win7)

DaneLewis

I just had to reinstall the OS onto a custom built PC of mine. After having a normal install, I went to load on the drivers which I downloaded directly from their website (HD Audio, OnBoard LAN, etc.) on to the MSI A55m-A33. Everything install properly expect for the LAN drivers. I keep getting an error message ("The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled please plug in the cable.") or just nothing at all but never connected. The system has worked in the config before with just a Ethernet cable plug directly into the modem just 3 feet away.

I've tried multiple ways to troubleshoot the issue by reinstalling Windows all over again and even buying an external Ethernet adapter but the drivers had issues on that as well. I'm just not sure what to do at this point!

Thank you guys so much for helping out if you can!

Can you see the LAN device in the device manager? If you do, find the drivers by finding out what the VEN number for that adapter is - RIght click, properties, details, hardware ID/

Is this a retail windows 7 install disc or download? If it was a download did you run the CRC checksum hash and check it to verify the integrity of the download?

Did I help you to fix your problem or at least did offer somewhat valuable advice? Consider giving my post a "informative" or "thumbs up".
