If by "My adapter" you mean when you open it up in network and sharing center, that's talking about your connection to your router, not your internet speed itself.

Probably shitty internet? that or someone is downloading shitloads of files, or the overall network is just very congested.

Try rebooting your router and modem.

link speed is 130 mbps, maybe too many people on your internet causing it to have such ping, unless you live some where in a desert where the closest server has 600 ms at best

Then it's probably just all the traffic from the neighborhood clogging up the shitty quality internet lines :/

if only fiber or wow came :(

If things go more down hill and you are 100% sure that ATnT is the only ISP, you should try looking into investing satellite internet, should better than what you have now, which also depends on your locations heavily

1. adapter speed is LAN connectivity. If you are loading a locally hosted page or downloading from a local server you will get that speed. Seeing 130mbps I would say you are looking at a wireless N adapter (or you have an AC adapter but a modem that only supports up to wireless N).

2. Ping is like golf scores, the lower the better. It is the time in milliseconds it takes for a packet to hit the destination server and be sent back to you system.

3. That looks like a DNS issue. I'd move away from your ISP DNS server and use another, such as google's.

4. Could also be a line issue, based on that ping. Assuming your on xDSL you might try changing the line protocol to g.dmt. Your speeds will be slower, but it will be more stable if you have a failing line. If this helps I would be recommending getting your ISP out to pull a new copper line through.

5. Check the logs on your modem, normally they will give an indication.
