Best gpu for 4790K Processor

Dear world,

I have been planning a new computer build for a while. I decided on a 4790K Processor. Although I have my CPU figured out I do not know what GPU to get. I don’t want one that will become a bottle neck and inhibit my CPU from working fully; but I also don’t want one that is so powerful it does no work either.

So what I am asking is what is the sweet spot between too good and too bad?

I would also not like to switch out my GPU every year so if you have any recommendations please tell me.

                Thanks, T-wank

I would say 980 is a decent pairing (not a fan of the refrance titan x crap......), and for a 4690k its a 970!
