Kinivo BTC455

I ordered the Kinivo BTC455 on Amazon a few days ago, and it arrived a couple of hours ago, so I thought "why not write a quick review".

What is this?

It's a bluetooth car kit, the main purpose is answering calls while you are driving, but it can also be used to listen to music.

Let's take a look at the package:

In the box you'll find:

  • 2 double-side stickers
  • an extension cord for the audio cable
  • the BTC455

The device is really small, around 4cm.

It has 3 buttons, 1 on the front and 2 on the side, and an LED for the status:

As you can see the main cable is long enough, and probably you won't need to use the extension, the only downside is that there are 2 hanging cables in the car.

The big button on the front as you can probably guess is used to answer calls, and to start the music player, the buttons above are used to change track.

The build quality is really good and it doesn't feel cheap, and both from my side and the receiver the audio quality is decent (I'll give it a 6/10).

I'll update this post in a couple of weeks so I can tell you what's my experience with it on the road.

Yes, it was worth the money, there is a slightly cheaper version without multi-point connection if you want to save some money, but it's definitely a good option if you want to add bluetooth in your car.

I got on of these for my mom a couple years ago before she had bluetooth in her car and she loved it. It had great clarity and was great for music too. very easy to press the button to pause music or accept a call. Call quality was decent too.
