Which monitor to use?

PilotA256

Hi all,

So I've got my new laptop recently, it has a 17" 1080p IPS display, which I currently use to display Spotify and teamspeak, and I have it hooked up to my 24" LG D2342 (1080p LCD) via HDMI, which I currently use for the game I'm playing.

I've been wondering though, for games (dota 2 basically), which one would you personally use? Ordinarily I'd go straight for the 24" one because it is bigger, but it's a relatively speaking low quality compared to my laptop screen.

I'm not sure whether to place a weight on quality or that bit of extra size, so if anyone has an opinion either way, that would be good.

Thanks,

Anthony

I'd use the external for shit like Afterburner, Spotify, and so on and use the laptop as the main one all the time lol

Hmm, yeah I just gave it a go, it does appear everything is noticeably nicer on my laptop display, think I'll keep it this way round!

Only took a drastic brightness decrease in my NVidia CP for my external monitor and an increase in Command and Control on my laptop monitor, and now I can focus on my laptop monitor without being distracted by the bigger one :P

Of course the only issue is that it's a fair distance away because my external keyboard+my laptop keyboard=a big gap, I can get used to that though haha

Cheers,

Anthony
