Don't spend your money on an SSD, spend it on the graphics card.

way better for hardly anymore

Bunch of dumbies! Haswell Refresh incompatibility detected. When using Haswell-R CPUs, make sure to use H97 or Z97 mobos; otherwise, you might have problems with the mobo Bios and be unable to use it.

Also, screw those MIRs! Those builds are getting into the 50$ (aka 10%) overbudget! Here, something that you are surely able to afford:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor  (Purchased For $0.00)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($60.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Team Elite 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($53.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card  ($241.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: Silverstone 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $499.67
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

40$ overbudget, with a weak PSU that doesn't have the needed connectors and has a "closer to the edge than I'd like" wattage.

Laaaame.

?????

Still 40$ overbudget with the MIRs, but at the very least this would be a great deal (if affordable).

Using MIRs is great idea, as it can lower costs from your final build.....

....however, RELYING on MIRs is stupid, as you may end up not getting them, and your build becomes unaffordable as a result.
