Cable shipment and cheapo wall mount review - I <3 Monoprice

Syntaxvgm

Monoprice is love, Monoprice is life

Would totally recommend them

Cables are peripherals, right?

My crap camera on my moto x is kinda far off, the hdmi cables match the red on my desk (which is like a pure ff0000 red) and the Ethernet cables are actually orange for some reason. Might contact them about that or at least get a color sample from them before I order 1000ft spools of cable in the future.

Here's a list of what I got -

3 6ft PSU cables

5 6ft mini-b usb cables

3 6ft DP to Single link DVI cables (remember kids, you need an active adapter for displayport to dual link DVI for a dvi device with resolutions above 1920x1200)

3 10ft red HDMI cables

1 mini-DP to HDMI (this will work like single link dvi)

4 7ft red (orange I guess) Cat6 cables

1 Full-motion cheapo vesa wall mount

I don't think all of the options were the smallest guage of wire, or the cheapest cables avaible, but my total was still only 79.93 USD with 12.10 USD shipping. Not bad.

I'll be updating this thread when I get my screen within a week or so and see how that 16$ wall mount hold up.

The mount holds up to 24" screens, and I'm putting a 27" one on it...cause I'm a badass or something...it's well under the weight rating so I should be fine. If not I got a mount on my 24" tv that is way too heavy duty for it, and I could just use that instead if needed. But the monoprice mount has rotation so hopefully it works out. The reason I got such a cheap mount was I hear the korean monitor I'm getting has a vesa mount, but the mounting holes have some flex, so I won't be moving it around much once it's mounted.
Will update!
