Thanks!
- Alex

Why a H87 mobo for an unlocked Haswell refresh i7?

There are much better value SSDs than that 830 128GB. Look at the deals section.

Why a Samsung mechanical drive? Consider a WD Blue?

Why specifically that LEPA PSU? There are better options available.

I am sorry about that, I originally posted the wrong link, the link that I sent my friend which he then edited. I edited my original post to have the right link now, with the right parts. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks!

- Alex

A few suggestions. Less expensive memory. Larger ssd. A better performing hdd - the Hitachi only has 32MB of cache. A different case, one I like better. A much better psu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

This does seem like the best build for me, the larger SSD is a big plus! A bit more expensive, but still well in my price limit. Thanks for your help, if anyone thinks that can improve this build, feel free to.

Thanks!

No one has offered to add a 750w PSU as of yet for possible SLI in the future. All round cheaper build than your original spec, though only a bit. The only thing I'd change would be the SSD, 128gb ain't that much to be sure. The whole thing is airflow optimsed, hence the extra fans. When it's all ready, it will have; 2 in the front as intakes, 1 in the side as intake over the GPU, 2 in the roof as exhaust, 1 in the rear as exhaust. Set them all to work at minimum speeds and you have a neutral air pressure PC, but still cool and quiet.

A bigger PSU would be nice, because I am planning on keeping this build for a while, so it will be upgraded. Also since I am planning on keeping it for a while, I would rather spend a couple hundred on quality parts, then cheap out on parts, and have them fail on me. Keep in mind that my budget is $1500 USD.

Thanks!

If you can, upgrade that cooler to a water cooler. If you do A LOT of video editing, you might want more ram, otherwise that's fine. And a 650W PSU is not necessary unless you plan on doing SLI in the future

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Video editing will be 1080p video at 60FPS, it won't be 3D, but I will be adding Special effects and all that stuff. A RAM upgrade will be done, just not right away. I want to see if 32GB of RAM would benefit me. The same things goes with an SLI, if I need the extra power, I will get a second GPU, but for now I will just start out with one.

Thanks!

By the way, what kind of frames would I get if I had dual EVGA GeForce GTX 970s, running Battlefield 4 at 4k resolution?
