air cooling for a spec 03

mylo123

Hello

I am upgrading my case to a spec 03 corsair . I was wondering what would be a good CPU cooler for it. I have heard great things about the evo 212 but I am unsure if it will fit my case. I was looking on PC part picker and it says its compatible but according to the corsair site the maximum cpu cooler is 157mm but the evo 212 is 159mm. do you reckon it will fit inside or can someone recommended me another cooler that will ?.

Also I will be adding a few extra fans into my case and increase cooling. I plan on over clocking my CPU quite a bit. Can anyone tell if this set up is any good or if there is a more optimal set up ? The fans I will be using are 2 stock fans that come with the spec 03 case 2 AF120s and 2 random fans from my old case.

Does anyone know what kind of overclock I could achieve with this set up ?

The 212 Evo probably won't fit as the Spec-03 is a relatively narrow ATX case. Your best bet for the price range that the 212 Evo is in might be a Cooler Master Hyper D92 or Arctic Cooling Freezer 13. Both are decent options. Also for a bit more money look at the Noctua NH-U9B

I am addicted to building gaming PCs but I don't have a great reason to stop...yet...
