Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

If they're not charging you extra, then the ranger

Hi guy.

As few of you knew i faced a prob in my rig's motherboard which is Z97K Asus . asus offered me to take a board as a replacement coz i was going to take them to consumer court coz their product wasted my time and i faced tension . so offered me Asus Z97-Pro or Asus Maximus ranger VII instead of facing court. i was ok with Z97-K replacement but when they said one week for warranty i got fired up why the F...one week " you have the products here in boxes why now then?" and i suddely said i'm going to court and i was don't know what they thought and gave me this offer for no extra payment . now Plz tell me which one to select . ?

1. i'm going to over clock for sure.

2. i'm going to game on it alot.

3 i'm going to render 1080P videos mostly.

4.i'm going to use it almost 24/7 on.

5.in near future im going to ungrade it to devil's canyon i7 , now its on i5 4690K

They're both equally good, it really doesn't matter either way.

Again, both are equally good. Even something dirt cheap like an MSI Z97 PC Mate will overclock just as well 99% of the time.

People are fanboying idiots.

Anything from Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte are all equally good. Asrock/EVGA are also equally good -- they just seem to have more issues/shit thrown at them than Asus/MSI/Gigabyte...but whatever.

I'm pretty sure both motherboards will give you enough OC features to mess around with. Your CPU and cooling will most likely be your limiting factor when it comes to OC. If I were to choose one I'd get the ROG ranger board.

If only they made a blue ranger (or a blue MSI/Gigabyte Gaming 5/Asus Z97-AR) I would've considered buying it....But meh, my z97s sli plus looks almost as good as a blue/black ranger/Gaming 5/AR.
