Can I sell half of my 16gb ram set?

I have a set of 4 4gb corsair vengeance ram sticks. I would like to sell 2 of them because I don't need more than 8gb of ram. I see that on the back of the stick the sticker shows that it is part of a 16gb set. Would any issues arise from selling 2 of them and only using the other 2?

only issue might be for warranty. they may request all sticks to replace a

defective module and then you are kinda outta luck.
