Is My PC Good Enough for Console Streamid

I really want to start streaming on twitch, but I don't know if my PC is good enough.

 

  • I will be streaming games from my Wii.
  • I'll be streaming 480p/480i
  • Ping: 1ms
  • Download: 15.82 mbps
  • Upload: 6.14 mbps

 

My PC specs:

  • Intel Pentium D Dual core 2.8GHZ
  • 2.5 GB DDR2 554MHZ
  • EVGA Geforce GT 8400 GS

I was wondering if I could stream with the above PC and with the settings above. If I have to turn down the resolution, it's fine, I'm just curious if I can even stream.

Well, since the input is from something else, maybe it'll work. So long as you're not trying to game/stream on that device, it'll probably be okay for 480p streaming of another device. If speeds are a problem, considering lowering the Hz of the stream.

I can stream 720p60 with 4 megabits up.

 

You might be able to get away with streaming at 30 fps with that processor, as long as you didn't plan on throwing in a webcam feed.
