Quarterfinals

4 games, best of 5 series for each, #1 from A plays #2 from B, #1 from B plays #2 from A, #1 from C plays #2 from D, #1 from D plays #2 from C

 

Game 1:

Samsung White vs. Team Solomid

Prediction: 3-0 for Samsung White

I see this as a sweep because unlike Samsung Blue, Samsung White hasn't shown extreme errors.  TSM might put up a fight in game, but I don't think they'll actually win one.  Let's not be fanboys for a second and be realistic, this is most likely going to be a shut out.

 

Result: 3-1 for Samsung White

Samsung White shouldn't have dropped game 3 to TSM, but one of their fatal flaws showed: they got cocky every time they're ahead.  They had so may mid picks available that would still synergize well with the team composition, yet they picked Kassadin and still chose to fight TSM's superior level one comp when TSM invaded White's red buff when they had a terrible level one potential. Otherwise, the other three games that they won were all in dominant fashion.

 

Game 2:

Samsung Blue vs. Cloud 9

Prediction: 3-1 for Samsung Blue

Samsung Blue did drop a game in groups yes, but Deft and dade showed how hard they can carry.  The reason I gave 1 game to Cloud 9 is because Blue did show weaknesses and I could see Cloud 9 capitalizing and taking a game, but either way Cloud 9 is going to lose the best of five series.

 

Game 3:

Star Horn Royal Club vs. EDG

Prediction: 3-2 for Star Horn Royal Club

It will be close because the two teams are very familiar with playing against each other, but I predict Royal Club to narrowly win because of EDG's disappointing performance in Group A and Royal Club's impressive showing in Group B.

 

Game 4:

Najin White Shield vs. OMG

Prediction: 3-2 for Najin White Shield

Comparing Najin Shield's performance in groups to OMG's performance, I pick Najin to move on to semifinals, but barely because they showed weaknesses against Cloud 9 and Alliance.

 

Semifinals (based on quarterfinal predictions) once again best of 5 series

 

Game 1:

Samsung White vs. Samsung Blue

Prediction: 3-2 for Samsung White

Based on history, Samsung Blue should beat Samsung White, but then again we saw how quickly teams could bounce back.  Because these two teams are both so good and so close, I'm predicting that White will barely edge out Blue.

 

Game 2:

Star Horn Royal Club vs. Najin White Shield

Prediction: 3-2 for Najin White Shield

This match-up could easily go either way with a 3-2, but I think Shield because of how well they showed they could turn Cloud 9's aggression in the tiebreaker.  This will help them is Royal Club's very aggressive style.

 

Grandfinals (based on semifinal predictions) best of 5 series

Samsung White vs. Najin White Shield

Prediction: 3-2 for Samsung White

I think Samsung White will win the Season 4 World Championship and make the Korean home crowd proud.

 

Everything is based off of group stage performance, so if suddenly EDG or OMG show up, then the bracket could fill up differently.

I haven't kept up with the current teams and who are "the best" and what not but i have been watching the games since season 1 so.....

Samsung White (I want TSM to win   )

Samsung Blue (I want C9 to win   )

I'm expecting Samsung to take it all.

I actually think White Shield losing to Royal Club in the semifinals is extremely possible.  If they do lose it would be a close 3-2.

SSB>SSW is debatable as far as this tournament's performance and results.  As far as OGN goes, I agree.  Imp=Korean Doublelift, cocky af, but unlike Doublelift, Imp actually made it to Worlds and he can sort of back it up unlike Doublelift

i think that EDG will win against Royal Club 3-2, the last few splits have shown, that they are the better chinese team (not at WCS atm)

And that Shield win win 3-1 but will drop the first game.

Although I don't want SSW to win or any korean team this year, it just seems way unlikely for TSM/C9 to win.

I still have my fate in TSM and C9 though! It'll be a blast to watch!

I think SSB shouldn't have any trouble going to semifinals and with a bit of luck to finals too. There is not much difference between them and SSW. We will see. I must say I was looking forward to see fnatic dominating the worlds but now I m little bit disappointed.

I think that EDG vs. Royal will be a fill 5 game series as well as the Sheild vs OMG and Samsung White vs Blue games. An all Korean finals is a very real possibility.
