Yay new keyboard! :(

Juganog

So i get home last night to find that my room mate decided to use my pc because theirs is being repaired and they accidentally spilt water on the keyboard.. WELL NOW IT ISN'T WORKING! THANKS <3!

I let it dry out overnight and the keyboard works but the key presses are all wrong and faulty now. i'm going to have a look at it after work tonight but if i am unable to fix it i am going to be looking for a new mechanical keyboard to purchase

Anyone have any suggestions for a decent mechanical keyboard under $150 AUD (with a numpad)

all suggestions are appreciated :D

By the way, in the future (when it comes to water spills), its recommended to disassemble the keyboard, dry it out as much as you can, then let it air dry for at least 24 hours. Using it only after waiting overnight might've caused a short.

As for a recommendation, Ducky has really good build quality, I would recommend those!

First of all: kick your roommate in the nuts :P

2nd: password protect your pc

3rd: should've let it dry for 24 hours (or longer) as people already said above.

For the rest, if you're looking for a new one, it's all up to personal preferences and how much you'd like to spend.

I feel your pain. I remember coming home from work one night, and there were people over for a party, in my bedroom. who decided my PC with top ventilation would make an excellent table for their liquid poison. They were lucky I didn't throw them out of the house then and there

Quickfire TKs have had my attention for the last little while.

My biggest recommendation is a Steelseries Apex, if you prefer mechanical, go for a Das Keyboard, it feels amazing and I personally think it is the best mechanical gaming keyboard out there.
