Google Chrome DNS Problem

So I opened up Chrome and I all of a sudden got the message that it wasn't able to connect to the internet, came up with the error code: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET. I have tried to play with played with Windows Firewall settings as well as some other things. Help would be much appreciated because I hate ie !

reset the browser and all settings.
Remove all plugins, and restart your pc.

I have AVG Free if that makes any difference

In the top right, there are three bars.

Drop that down.

Near the bottom there is a settings option.

Click on that, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit show advanced settings.

Scroll even farther and right at the bottom there is an option to reset chrome.

 

EDIT: Get rid of AVG and use MSE.

if it still has issues, you can try and use the AVG remover tool. 

I know AVG does stupid things with internet. So does norton, mcaffee, etc.

I no longer have AVG just MSE, still doesn't work. I also just re- downloaded Chrome same result, must be something in the Firewall

Could also be a virus.

That is a folder with all the tools we commonly use at the store i work in.

I typically go alphabetically unless i run into something that doesnt start.

Skip hijack this because you can seriously fuck up your system if you check the wrong thing.

this Process is going to take quite a few hours to complete.

Start with the A's and work your way down.

Run as many as you can in safe mode.

ComboFix won't run on windows 8.1, but windows 8 will work fine.

NOTE: There may be some files in there that have a grayed out image and are 4KB small. Ignore those (delete if you want) and run the actual ones that are just farther down the list.

Your work needs Hiren's Boot CD... that list is seriously lacking in a lot of stuff that's found on it, and should really be in that drop box.

Correction, that is not all of them.

It is also out of date a bit. 

But with the tools in it, you can clean almost any computer.
