My Future 2000$ Gaming build

Hello awesome community,

I have some questions about my planned PC build, I am not sure I have picked the right items or PSU..
This link goes to my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bHhsVn

Is it worth buying or are there things where I can save money from? I'm planning to overclock my CPU and GPU, although I haven't added Fans in the builder.

If this is a good build, what type of fan config should I use and what type of fans?

Greeting from Belgium.

You've gone way overboard on unnecessary components for gaming. Give me a moment to improve.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

This will provide HEAAAAPS more performance (2x R9 290 > 1x 780 Ti). As for fan config I would recommend 2x front and 2x side for intake and 2x top (air from the case to the outside for the H100i) and 1x back for exhaust. 2 SP120's or NF-F12's on the H100i and airflow optimized fans for the rest from either corsair, noctua, noiseblocker, etc.

I see what you mean, I had a second (cheaper) build where I used 2x Asus GeForce GTX 760 4GB ROG Video Card (SLI)..

And why should I go Crucial instead of Corsair SSD ? And the MSI motherboard ? I don't know if it's true but I've heard MSI breaks down some how faster ?

No point at all in going 4GB GTX 760 in SLI. The 760 isn't even strong enough to use all 4GB of VRAM so that's just pointless.

The crucial SSD is about as fast but is cheaper.

The MSI motherboard is perfectly fine. They do not break down faster that's a myth. However if you want to be more comfortable then you can go the ASUS ROG board. I think it's overpriced unless you are doing some seriously expensive things (extreme/to the limit OC'ing, lots of SLI/CF that sort of thing)

Thank Archangel1994

although I have another question, and to be more precise, about heat..

I know the R9/ATI series are known for the heat ups at high usage.. What will happen when you put em crossfire ?

If this is principally a gaming system then an i5 nd 8GB of memory is more than sufficient.

A few suggestions to reduce the cost without affecting gaming performance.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
