Windows 8.1 64 bit install help!

Ok so basically i have a activation key for windows 8.1, but before i do anything i want to make sure i install the correct version i want, the correct version being the 64 bit, what do i need, and what do i need to do to ensure i get the 64 bit?

Do you have discs or just a key

oh this is great, to be honest i did look into it a bit my self so i am already  downloading this but other than that i have no clue, it did take a while but i have started the download like a while ago and i only have an hour or so left
