I Played Crysis 3 Maxed Out | A Little Story

Snapy1

okay so I got bored and thought I'd share this interesting story.

First and foremost my specs:

CPU: i7 4770k (at that time it was running at 4.2GHz)

GPU: 780ti (at stock clock and still is)

Cooling: Corsair H100i (I re-apply thermal paste roughly every 3-4 months)

MOBO: One of MSI's boards I can't remember the exact name of it)

CASE: Corsair 600T

HDD: WD Black 1TB

SSD (OS): 128GB Samsung EVO

Monitor: One of LG's UltraWidescreen (21:9, 2560x1080)

One day I decided to purchase Crysis 3...so I did and I wanted to see if I could max it out at 2560x1080 and I actually did at an average of 29FPS and my temps were above 100c....... No I did not finish the game I instantly had a mini heart attack once I saw the temps.

I think reapllying the paste just adds dust

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Wait I thought these temps were pretty normal for how stupid I was for running it maxed out on an enclosed loop.

What's the voltage of the 4770K and check if your pump is running via Corsair link (if your running Win8 you need this version) also what monitoring tool were you using to read the temps.

Well I saw that you replace thermal paste every 3-4 months. How much do you apply?

No clue what Corsair Link is

-snip-

When you install the H100i there's a USB cable that plugs into the pump/block then into a USB 2.0 header, Corsair link allows you to see the pump speed, change fan speed, monitor temps and control the RGB LED on the pump/block.
