Headset versus headphones?

So I wanted to get HD 518 headphones,because I will buy zalman mic,but price is just to high in my country.
They cost 170$ in my country( I can't order them over amazon or online)
They don't sell M30X.
Also I don't need mic but Kingston Hyperx Cloud gaming headset cost 130$ so maybe it is better to buy them? What is sound difference and are HD 518 really worth extra 40$?
I really like how Kingston HyperX cloud looks but what about sound over HD 518? Are headphones really so much better?

there are good headsets out there

 

its just that most gaming headset are 'geared towards gaming, with lower bass for the explosions 'n stuff'

 

thats why most suck at music and in general, too much bass is rarely good.

 

still worth the 40 bucks more

Aren't there any other headphones available? It's not like you have to get the 518 to get a good headphone.

The cloud headphones are probably on par with the 518
