Of course the Pentium is great at gaming, you overclocked it at 4.4 Ghz and it has more performance per core, while the 4770k has more cores but less performance per core and the high quantity of cores benefits video rendering.

You should have tried some other games like Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4. Which will utilize more cores. Hell of a good cpu tho for the price.

Yeah I don't own either of those so I couldn't do it, but as I said at the end, I am aware that some games do utilize more cores and future games will trend towards that.
