Decent Speakers for a budget?

The_Strict_Nein

I'm looking for a decent set of stereo speakers (so only left and right required) to replace my (probably) 8-10 year old set of harman/kardon speakers, but given I don't go super nuts for audio, I'm looking for something in line of the budget of my HD668B's, around £30.

Is it possible, or am I better off just sticking with what I have until I get the gumption to spend more on speakers?

Thanks. I listen to all types of music, with particular focus on pop, techno, rock and folk music (so able to handle vocals as well as heavy beats)

EDIT: Thought I should add that these are to go on a desktop

I have personal experience with these, for the money they're very good.

Sorry for the late response, but a lot of people noted on amazon the overly heavy bass and that sticking something sound dampning into the bass port helped.

Did you have this experience?

No because the room we put them in was a basement with monitor and an HTPC to watch movies and chill down there, so it was appreciated if anything.

If it's an issue you could insert a piece of foam into the bass port which will subdue the bass, it's quite common for some speakers to come with bungs to insert into bass ports for this purpose.

Either those https://www.alternate.de/Logitech/Z323/html/product/135921? , or those https://www.alternate.de/Logitech/Z523/html/product/135919? ..

My friend has the more expensive ones and they are totally awesome for their price :)

Uhh no Logitechs are terrible.

OP try to find something from edifier for active speakers or look for used bookshelf speakers and a lepai amp.
