Parts Suggestions Wanted

Go to solution Solved by Easy to Pronounce,

well its hard to work with a $200 budget but for the cooler id say a cooler master 212 evo and a 750w for either cooler master, corsair, rosewill, xfx, evga

I perfectly understand that the budget is limiting, but it is what it is; I can't change the amount of money in my pocket.

I have decided to go with a Noctua D14 for cooling and an EVGA Supernova G2 850W for the PSU since those were the suggestions I received on another forum consistently. The products only are only slightly above my price range, but I think I can manage. Thanks for your suggestions :)

Hello all,

I am building a gaming PC from a combination of parts that I already have, parts I plan to buy, and parts I need suggestions on.

Here are the things I already have:

-Intel Core i7 920
-Intel DX58S0 Motherboard
-Two AMD Radeon HD 6950's that work as 6970's
-12 GB Corsair XMS3 RAM (3x4GB)
-Intel 120 GB SSD
-A PCI e Card that adds USB 3.0 capabilities to my board
-All the peripherals I need (Monitor, mouse, wifi, etc)
-A boring Panasonic optical drive
-A butt-ton of fans

Here are the things I plan to buy:

-WD Black series 1TB
-Cooler Master N600 Case

Approximate Purchase Date: This coming month

Budget Range: US $200

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Video Streaming, Light Video Editing, Internet Browsing

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to add: Power Supply, CPU Cooler

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon Prime is preferred. If there is some irresistible sale or something on another site, be sure it can deliver to an AP DPO address*

Location: Physically in Seoul, Korea. However I have a US Mailing address*

Parts Preferences: Whatever is cheap, and of good quality

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200

Additional Comments: I'd like the PSU to have a bit of headroom for possible future upgrades.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I need a computer that is not the 13" 2013 Macbook Air that I am currently having to use.

*PLEASE READ

AP = Armed Forces Pacific. DPO = Diplomatic Post Office. This address is essentially a US address in the eyes of a supplier. The supplier ships the product(s) to a US address, and Uncle Sam handles it from there, shipping it to me in Korea.

Example of an APO address:
John Smith [Name]
Unit #### Box #### [street Address]
DPO [City] AP [state] #####-#### [Zip Code]
USA [Country]

The reason I included this is because not all websites have an option to select AP as a state.

Thanks for keeping this in mind! smile.gif

Sorry about the lengthy post; I guess my point got lost in it all. Basically what I wanted were suggestions for PSUs and CPU coolers that work with my hardware and are within my budget. Also if you see any blaring issues with my setup, please tell me. Thanks again :)
