Asus POST code 81 help?

Hey, I am posting this for a friend, he isn't a super tech person, and I am just copy pasting what he said.

So my desktop (a x299 desktop) is having some issues. It won't even boot to the BIOS screen. I am getting post code error 81 on the board's built in LEDs. I have overclocked the: CPU and RAM. CPU is i9 7920x, OC all cores 4.4GHz, -0.02V, RAM is 8x8GB Ballistix Sport 2400MHz - OC to 2600MHz, auto voltage.
Can you help me?

So... after reading this, I have no experience with x299 (I built a x299 computer though, but it hasn't had any problems according to the person I sold it to.)
System specs:

i9 7920x (OC 4.4GHz all cores, LTT i9 overclocking guide BIOS settings, -0.020V offset on all cores except for 2. those 2 are -0.035V)

8x8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400MHz (OC to 2600MHz)

Asus Prime X299-A
Nvidia GTX Titan X (apparently from EVGA)

Asus ThunderboltEX 3 card

Samsung 970 Evo 250GB

Samsung 850 Evo 500GB

Samsung 860 Evo 1TB

Seagate BarraCuda 4TB (7200RPM) [2x, RAID 0]

Everything else shouldn't matter

But he is getting boot code 81

If you have any ideas, please tell me ASAP.

Its a HDD Rom initialization failure clear cmos and do nothing with overclocking to see if it boots

I suspect if you pull the CMOS battery, it will reset things to default.

First mistake was overclocking, second was software raid :|

I just unplugged all the drives, and it still is on A2 post code - Except for the boot drive

Unplug even the boot drive. AS well as the thunderbolt 3 card.

Hey it could always be worse, I had to rebuild my system just because I had a motherboard fail on my yesterday and then corrupt my OS that was about 4-5 hours of my life gone.
