So, I have placed 3000-3500 aside for a build, where should I go with it? I have used PCPartPicker already to try and get a general feel but I would love some advice from the general public. I'm new so I am not sure if this belongs here, but if it doesn't I apologize sincerely. This is what I am currently looking at, it's supposed to be for gaming. Thanks for your time!

This is a fairly solid build.

Some notes I do have, however; Ryzen is well known for the best performance-per-dollar, but Intel still has raw performance numbers on their side, just edging out AMD. You'll get a solid gaming experience with either, but it's something to consider.

Unless i'm being entirely ignorant (entirely possible), I don't see a use case for that NF-R8

If you're interested in using G-Sync, the C32HG70 doesn't support it (though I believe it is freesync)

I encourage people to avoid Razer. They have a track record of unimpressive quality control, and potentially hit-or-miss customer support.

the Kryonaut shouldn't be necssary unless you're planning to really push your overclocking limits where a degree or two difference will make or break you. Something like MX4 will do just fine. It doesn't look like the M240L includes thermal paste in a syringe, but it may also have it pre-applied

Lastly, your desk. it's not listed exactly what's going on here, but it seems like a fairly steep price at $380

Something like this might serve you just as well for much less investment.

Intel still has its edge on high refresh rate gaming compared to AMD Ryzen. 8700k is the better choice if you are willing to delid, the 9700k is more of a factory delidded 8700k in terms of performance. Yup, extra 2 cores balanced out its lack of HT

A good liquid cooler. The ML240L sucks, more than it is cheap.

This mobo is more than capable of using an 9900k if you plan on doing so in the future. Also has OC friendly features like post code display and BIOS reset/flash button in the rear I/O.

16GB memory is already enough for a gaming rig. Even streaming is usually enough.

swapping SSD and HDD choice to lower cost without hurting performance.

Changed case because budget reasons, while maintaining airflow.

changed PSU, cheaper for equal performance

changed fans to suit the case, the ML120 Pro (I have 3 myself) reach high RPMs without making much noise, so I recommend using it as exhaust. Noctua NF-P14s are better than what NZXT used on their radiator, I recommend replacing those fans with these if you plan on only having 1 side with fans. Otherwise you could go push-pull with the Noctua fans between the front panel and radiator, as that position is more demanding on the fans' performance. The fans that comes with the case are good enough to be on the top of the case.

I myself have doubt on monitor, usually my recommendation will be a $550 1440p 144Hz Gsync display, but they are 27" and I understand that some value size more than adaptive sync.

Changed the 1080p secondary monitor to one with IPS panel. The old choice uses a TN panel, which looks pretty bad in terms of colours and viewing angles. Not much price difference either.

Against Razer peripherals, not durable enough. Only stays in the list because I have no idea what to replace them with.
