Hello,

I'm currently planning a new build for this Christmas, my first one since 2013. I haven't really kept up with changes in the PC market since that time so any tips/advice would be appreciated. The main usage for the build will be 1440p gaming at Max settings, hopefully with 100+ fps. I don't really plan on doing any upgrades for the next 5 years outside maybe upgrading the CPU. I read that AM4 socket will be supported for a while so I'd liked to leave the door open for that which is why I went with a higher-end motherboard. Everywhere review I read said the crosshair is overkill for any system right now so I figured it should be suffient for any new CPUs that AMD will release in the near future. I'm not that familiar or comfortable with overclocking but I think I will try to get the 2700x past 4 GHz. Let me know what you guys think, completely open to suggestions.

Why bother with the ADATA, just get a Samsung pro. You can get a 2700 and overclock to get the same performance as a 2700x.
