Webcam Bluesreens Desktop

So i own a Logitech c920 i bought while i was at uni a few years ago. it has served me well over the years and through multiple PCs.to my current one, but after a lightning bolt struck my house the webcam now bluescreens my PC when i plug it into any USB port, i managed to isolate it to just that device, and it doesn't seem to affect any other device or my USB ports (except my integrted Wi-Fi acting wierd since) but im wondering if their any reason for it?

 

its been a really nice bit of kit and id rather not have to replace it. OS is windows 8.1 64bit if that helps.
