Upgrade GPU or get an SLI?

Hassan7863

Hi all,

This is my current build:

Should I now go for a new GPU such as 2070/2080 or get a 980 SLI?

Thanks :)

so you don't have a build, but either way just upgrade your gpu, sli is a waste of money

SLI is such a hit and miss that I would definitely go with a single GPU, sell yours and upgrade to something like a 1070 Ti or higher.

CPU: i5 10600KFMotherboard: Asus B460M-Plus | Cooling: Gamemmaxx 400 XT w/ Corsair ML120 Elite + 1 ML120 Elite exhaust + 2 ML140 Elite intake

RAM: 2x16GB Netac DDR4 3200MT/s @2666CL13 | GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual +200/+1200MHz/+5%

Storage: 2TB XPG S70 Blade, WD Blue NVMe 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 2TBPSU: Corsair TX550M

Monitor: 2x Pichau Cepheus Fuse 28" 4k 144Hz HDR | Keyboard: Corsair K70 mk.2 Cherry MX Red

Headphone/headset: Kuba Disco Pro/Gamer + Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro | OS: Windows 11 Home

Would a 2080 Ti work with that build? Could anyone help me with that?

A 2080 Ti would definitely work, just make sure you know your PC is a fire hazard after installing that RTX

With Great Power, Comes a Great Electricity Bill

Main

Setup: Intel core i5-8400 (OC'd), MSI Z-370-A Pro, Crucial Ballistix 8GB, Be Quiet! Pure Slim, Cooler Master Masterbox Lite 5 RGB, TP-Link Wifi Adapter, ASRock RX580, Artic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste, Logitech G105, Logitech M310, Razer Sphex V2 (Mat), EVGA 500W 80+ Silver, 1TB WD Blue, 240gb Kingston Digital

Now if only there was a bundle with the RTX and a fire extinguisher..
