I had the same problem with witcher 3. GPU had a stable OC but the game didn't like it at all.

then it's not a stable OC. instability can have all kinds of symptoms... it can either lock up the whole system or just make one app crash...

Stable as it was never a problem before and passed long sessions of stress testing between both 3dmark and heaven, although I understand what you mean.
