So ive built my first ever PC with a ryzen 3 2200g . While unboxing everything I found out that I have accidently bought only a 8gb ram stick ( It said dual rank and I mistook it with ,,dual channel'' ) . I still have to install Windows 10 on my PC and then get evrything set up . Since I have just one stick of memory this just encourages me to get a GPU faster  . My RAM is Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Dual Rank ( micron ) 2666mhz 16-18-18-3something . I really didnt pay too much attention to it ... I was blinded by the fact that it was white . I regret my mistake .

I will take suggestions on if this should be performed or not ( Ive seen people say they got 3200mhz 14-16-18-36 I mean whaaa ) and I was wondering how far could I push mine . Thanks !

No worries, I recommend overclocking but don't go silly.

You should be able to overclock the ram reasonably. 3200 isn't a far cry from 3000.

Right now my goal would be 3000MHz CL 15/16

Ok thanks , tomorrow I am going to try these RAM settings in order :

2666 mhz 15-15-15-36

3000 mhz 16-18-18-36

3000 mhz 15-15-15-36 

3200 mhz 15-15-15-36

I dont know if I am correct about these timings since I am no expert . Tell me more timings I should try .

Trial and error ... I could not overclock the ram over 2666 Mhz CL 16-16-16-35
