Is a Ryzen 3 2200g good option for a budget gaming rig

Maybe consider the R5 with igpu to have some better cpu performance

The Ryzen 3 2200G is an excellent budget CPU, from my experience, it has the same graphical performance slightly better than that of a GT 1030, but also slightly lower than a GTX 1050.

 

It's also overclockable, which is a bonus.

never consider the r5 2400G as it is awful value

yes it is a good CPU. what GPU are you pairing it with? if its the 1050ti i would highly suggest getting a rx 580 instead as it is only ever so slightly more expencive.

false, the integrated graphics of the 2200G is slower than the gt1030.

 

still a good CPU though for the money. perfect for budget builds between 300-450$
